Submission and Bid Administrator

Location: Liverpool / Manchester

Due to continuing success and the growth of our business in the UK, we are now seeking an exceptional Submission and Bid Administrator to support our Office Managing Partner.

As our Submission and Bid Administrator you will be responsible for designing creative presentation documents in soft and hard copy. Based either our Liverpool or Manchester office, you will be responsible to the Office Managing Partner and support our Building Surveying, Cost Management, and Engineering teams in securing new business from existing and new clients.

We are looking for someone who is energetic, creative and innovative to help develop and maintain the Ridge brand through responding to request from clients for proposals.

What will you be doing?

•Working under the direction of a Partner, the role involves leading all day-to-day aspects of an individual bid or submission
•Be responsible for submitting a completed bid to an existing or prospective client, on time and within budget
•Orchestrate the creation of the proposal ensuring compliance with customer requirements while highlighting the company value proposition
•To act as the first point of contact for the client, and liaise with the Partner who will produce the price element of a bid
•Be involved in every aspect of the submission and have an excellent appreciation of what the client needs and how best to articulate how the organisation can provide that
•Work closely with a core team while bringing in subject matter experts when required
•Collate the 'quality' submission by gathering model answers to any RFP
•Ensure consistent presentation of company information; uploading onto electronic portals and printing and binding hard copies as necessary. This will involve working with many contributors and responding within short time scales for major submissions and bids to win work for the practice
•Writing case studies and presentation material to support bids
•Gathering information from the team for the preparation of articles for internal and external marketing material, not including the technical content
•Supporting the office teams with formatting, proof reading, collating, updating presentations, printing and binding of bids and submissions
•Production of letters, reports, and other documents to a high standard. Ensure that all correspondence and documents that are produced are accurate, grammatically correct, error free and comply with the Ridge Style Book

To be successful in your application for our Submission and Bid Administrator position you will need to demonstrate a passion for creative design and a drive to push your capabilities. It is also essential that you have an outgoing and approachable nature with a strong ‘can do’ attitude.

What we need from you:

•Leadership and team work are important as no one can produce a bid single-handedly
•To be conscientious, diligent and efficient with a high degree of self-motivation and an enquiring mind-set
•To have exceptional skills in time management, efficiency, the ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision
•To be thorough, methodical and meticulous approach to all aspects of workload ensuring accurate, consistent and reliable output
•Experience of using InDesign a distinct advantage
•Strong proof reading and attention to detail skills
•Advanced IT skills – Microsoft Office, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel
•Ability to demonstrate confidentiality and discretion at all times as appropriate for the role.

The role will require you to have regular contact with the company Partners, therefore a high level of customer service skills with a strong ‘can do’ attitude is essential.
