Due to continued business growth and internal succession we are seeking to recruit an Assistant Project Manager for the North West & Yorkshire PPM team.
Reporting to the Arup Project Lead, you will work on a new building project as the Multidiscipline Design Co-ordinator and supporting the NEC PM/Client Representative. In addition, you will be responsible for a variety of project management activities with an emphasis on procurement and contract management and provide project management support to the delivery team in the following areas:
· Change Control
· Actions / Issues management
· Facilitation of meetings
· Contract Administration
The role will be based in Manchester with occasional site visits.
It is essential that you possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as being a collaborative team player with the ability to operate independently when required. Strong analytical skills and a proactive methodical mindset are essential for success within this detail-orientated environment.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience
· Experience in project management, client-facing roles and building projects
· Solid engineering design and design management experience
· Able to manage consulting teams from a prime consultant position
· Knowledge and understanding of the planning application process
· Minimum of a 2:1 degree in engineering discipline or equivalent
· Project Management training or relevant qualifications
· Wider industry interest and awareness
