Cardiac Physiologists provide an essential role in the diagnosis, treatment and care of adult and paediatric Cardiac patients.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and compassionate individual to join our dynamic team of Cardiac Physiologists.
Over a 4-year training period you will learn to perform a range of diagnostic cardiac tests on adults and children.
This will include Electrocardiograms (ECG’s), ambulatory monitoring, exercise tolerance testing, pacemaker and invasive procedures.
Initially you will work under the direct supervision of qualified physiologists and assistant cardiac physiologist, progressing to performing some of the more basic investigations with indirect supervision.
Applicants will be holding an offer of an approved (RCCP approved) Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) Degree place at University. There is no course funding available with this post, but the successful applicant will be employed for 2 days (15 hours) a week, working around their University commitments. Previous applicants have completed their degree part-time through this route, extending the normal 3 years to 4 years to accommodate their work commitments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate to undertake relevant part-time work whilst pursuing their University studies.
