In this exciting Senior Electrical Engineer role, which reports to our Principal Engineer/Design Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and direct teams of electrical and mechanical engineers and technicians on a variety of projects. Your task is to provide leadership and expert technical input.
You will also have a great opportunity to gain experience by acting as a line manager. This means developing, leading and advising the team on their development and technical delivery. Additionally, you will achieve the targets agreed with the Principal Engineer/Project Co-ordinator for the effective delivery of major projects within agreed timescales and budgets.
About You
A Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with previous electrical engineering design and site experience in a similar industry.
Proficiency in computer-aided design, with detailed knowledge of electrical design within a railway environment including lighting, signalling power, points heating systems and building services. experience in consulting and contracting, plus the ability to explain constraints and risks in a geotechnical context.
Sound industry expertise is required: knowledge of construction principles and standards, multi-disciplinary issues associated with M&E and building services, plus a firm grasp safety standards and the safety implications of working practices.
