The Governing Board at Cathcart Street Primary School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and friendly Administration and Finance Assistant to work in our busy school office.

Recent school office experience is essential along with strong literacy, numeracy and ICT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. The successful candidate must have a strong working knowledge of SIMS, excellent communication and organisational skills alongside the ability to deal with diverse tasks and changing priorities.
Duties will include being the main contact for all attendance matters to work alongside key school staff to promote excellent attendance and punctuality and reduce levels of absence. You will monitor attendance and punctuality across the school and make first day absence phone calls, obtain reasons for absence and report any unexplained absences or safeguarding concerns to the Headteacher. You will also liaise with the Education Social Welfare Officer. Duties will also include collection of school fund and trip money, maintaining our school information management system (SIMS), booking supply, coaches and staff courses.
The working hours are 8.30am - 2.30pm Monday to Friday with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
The successful candidate must have experience of handling sensitive and confidential issues, be highly organised, be able to work to deadlines and use their initiative. Experience of SIMS is essential.
