Freelance Design And Communications Executive Jobs Vacancy at Creative Talent London Jobs Details:

To take the lead in creating, developing, implementing and managing the schools communications strategies in order to support the achievement of the schools strategic objectives.

This is a f/t role Mon – Fri 8.15am – 4.15pm, 36.5hrs p/wk.

Specific Responsibilities of this role:

  • Work with the Headteacher to develop clear and appropriate communication to all audiences
  • Develop powerful and sustainable content management strategy across web and social media
  • Liaise with the school’s Moseleians Association of former students and staff
  • Working with the Assistant Headteacher (Yr. 7 Transition) ensure regular and timely marketing and promotional campaigns, targeting Year 5 and Year 6 parents, within feeder primary schools which results in increased student numbers
  • Working with the Assistant Headteacher (Sixth Form) and Assistant Headteacher (KS4 Transition) ensure regular and timely marketing and promotional campaigns, targeting Moseley and external Year 11 students, which results in increased student numbers in the Sixth Form
  • Write high quality persuasive and engaging copy for all marketing communications
  • Source and develop rich content for e-communications, including videos, photos and audio-visual content
  • Critically evaluate the impact of each marketing and/or PR campaign to assess its impact against core priorities and inform future successful activity
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day content, management and maintenance of the school website so that it is up-to-date with current information, meets the schools statutory obligations for publishing information and engages our target audience
  • Achieve regular external media coverage by proactively finding interesting and unusual angles (good news stories) and write engaging press releases
  • To develop links, good working relationships and key contacts in local and regional press and media channels
  • All communication is planned and organised in accordance with required deadlines, ensuring appropriate approval obtained prior to publication
  • Plan, organise, promote and implement whole school events e.g. open days, transition days, awards, events, tours etc.
  • Develop and deliver the school’s communications strategies, internal and external, across all platforms and audiences
  • Develop strong, consistent and co-ordinated branding and display for the school across all communications and platforms
  • Liaise with external agencies to develop marketing, PR and communications strategies
  • Co-ordinate marketing materials for prospective parents
  • Develop high quality display strategy within the school
  • Develop and manage plasma screen communications
  • Manage and update the school’s social media presence on a day-to-day basis
  • Monitor the success of social media and website
  • Develop strong relationships with local community groups, local business, sports clubs and residents
  • Manage and publish the weekly e-newsletter
  • Manage and publish the termly school magazine
  • Developing materials to promote the school e.g., posters, banners and short films
  • Commissioning the development of assets for marketing, PR and communications as necessary
  • Leading audience research to help inform strategic development of services
  • Managing advertising campaigns
  • Reporting to Headteacher as required
  • Assisting all departments with their display requirements
  • Managing and organising the school’s photo library and other assets
  • Managing marketing, PR and communications folders and archives
Other Responsibilities
  • Assist with duties as appropriate
  • Responsible for student behaviour and welfare in public places during break, lunch, change of lesson, beginning and end of school day as directed
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, willingness to develop additional skills and expertise
  • Keep up-to-date with current educational developments and legislation affecting your area of responsibility
  • Contribute to school development through identified communication and consultation channels
  • Treat students, parents and colleagues fairly, equitably and with dignity and respect
  • To respect the confidential nature of information relating to the school, students and customers
  • Be aware of and support difference and ensure equal opportunities for all
  • Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the School
  • Develop constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/professionals
  • Be aware of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and to report any concerns in accordance with the school’s safeguarding policy
  • To comply with the school’s Health and Safety policy and statutory requirements
  • To undertake any other duties not detailed above commensurate with the level of the post.
