Assistant Director - Support Ref: 01009 (Housing and Innovation) Based in Newport, 37 hours per week 18 month fixed term or secondment opportunity Circa £57K Who are we? Solas provides a wide range of high quality accommodation based services for young people 16+, adults aged 18+, families across South Wales and substance misuse treatment services. We provide accommodation and support and access to a range of volunteering, education, employment and training opportunities. Our aim is to move people on to independence.
We provide access to permanent settled accommodation, and a programme of activities and training opportunities to support people to develop the skills they need to successfully move on with their lives What will you do? A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work with POBl group to make a real difference to people's lives. At Pobl we believe in providing choice and quality in housing and support solutions for people. We are looking for a dynamic, creative and positive person to develop our Supported Housing offer.
You will build on the progress we've made to date on developing our Housing 1st approach and offer new and innovative Supported Housing Solutions for young people, the under 35s; and people with complex factors affecting their housing situation including mental health needs, substance misuse issues, offending and street homeless. You will join a strong senior team with a reputation for delivering excellent housing related support services across 16 Local Authority areas in Wales. As part of the Senior Support team you will work across POBL with the Homes and Communities and Commercial divisions as well as our other partner RSLs and the Private Rented sector to provide a range of options for people to support them to lead positive lives of their choosing.
