Vestas NCE is a sales business unit covering Northern and Central Europe, South Africa, Kenya and Russia. The Service department is responsible for service and maintenance of the wind farms within UK and Ireland. The department has an open and informal culture, where team work and good communication is the key to our success. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting industry and in a team of highly motivated employees.
You will be required to develop a detailed knowledge of our wind turbines to enable you to perform daily maintenance and other field service related tasks. Working to the highest safety and environmental standards whilst ensuring that service targets are met, you will be part of a team of technicians working throughout the region.
Other duties will be to carry out periodic service inspections in accordance with Vestas specifications together with component replacement (both electrical and mechanical) and troubleshooting on the systems
- The successful candidates will have a proven track record of education in a mechanical, electrical and/or electronics background and will possess a full, clean driving licence (be willing to learn to drive).
- You will have or be working towards a formal qualification in one or both of the above and/or have served an apprenticeship.
- The ability to work at height of 100 meters and in adverse weather conditions
- Excellent problem solving and fault-finding skills
- A proactive approach, be self-motivated and well organised
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- An excellent understanding of, and commitment to, the highest standard of health & safety in the work environment
- A good level of computer literacy
- Previous accreditation as an AT/CT under WTSR would be advantageous

This position is located in our service base in Enniskillen so you should live within a reasonable commute distance from there.
The initial training period for this role will require travel to Denmark and through the UK with overnight stays which maybe for a few weeks at a time. This is a regional based role and so travel throughout the region is to be expected.
This position will be under a UK contract.
