About the role
pladis has a fabulous opportunity for a Senior Internal Communications Manager to join the Global team based here at our Hayes HQ. We're looking for someone that has breadth of experience across a business, preferably within an interntational/global organisation and who is at ease dealing with ambiguity. Both your verbal and written skills will also need to be highly proficient.

Reporting into the Global Head of Internal Communications, and liaising closely with the pladis Corporate Communications team, together with regional IC Leads/HRBPs, the Senior Global Internal Communications Manager will be expected to support on all global internal communications activity and, where appropriate, lead on designated projects with the guidance of the Global Head of Internal Communications.
In line with the global IC&E strategy and key strategic narrative (COMPASS21), the Senior Global Internal Communications Manager will contribute to - and craft - communications and messaging that supports our strategic imperatives and which are informative and engaging.
Key Responsibilities Internal Communications Strategy
•Work with Head of Global Internal Communications to develop global internal communications strategy that is fully aligned to pladis' business goals and purpose.
•Lead, with support of Head of Global Internal Communications, 'best practice' internal communications governance and guidance for pladis. Work with wider team to establish and deliver this, providing training and toolkits where necessary.
•Serve as deputy to the Global Head of Communications in her absence, managing workload of team, liaising with senior stakeholders and making decisions, as needed.
•Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the business
•Lead on co-ordination and management of major global events – including annual leadership event.
•Lead on development of 'best practice' communications toolkits and templates, ensuring global consistency of communications.
•Write messaging, announcements, communications plans, scripts, presentations, etc, as needed to support delivery of the global communications strategy.
•Work with wider team to write and deliver monthly Momentum newsletter – contributing ideas and written content.
Measurement and reporting
•Own and develop global communications calendar.
•Work with team to establish consistent measurement of internal communications.
•Lead and deliver global channel strategy, with guidance from Global Head of Internal Communications.
•Support wider team in managing global internal communications response to crisis situations.
•Lead on crisis communications in absence of Global Head of Internal Communications.
Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Extensive experience of working in a large, global, matrix environment where key stakeholder management is essential.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, with the ability to develop a strong network including senior managers and employees at all levels.
Ability to confidently advise and influence key senior stakeholders
Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills.
Strong verbal and presentation skills.
Creative ability to plan communication strategies and to exercise creative judgement when liaising with/briefing preferred creative partners and agencies on traditional collateral and new media items.
Event organisation skills:
Proven experience of organising large events
Project Management skills:
An organised and disciplined approach to work with a knowledge of the key project gates/stages, risks and interdependencies.
An appreciation of reputational management and crisis management and the need to protect the business interests and the welfare of its employees.
A degree in communications or business related subject would be ideal but is not essential.
A qualification from the IoIC, Chartered Institute of Public Relations, or the Chartered Institute of Marketing would be advantageous.
