Occupational Therapy Assistant
From 20 hours per week (Term Time Only)
£19.500 per annum pro rata
The Cambian Group, the UK’s largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for two dedicated, caring individuals to join the company as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Cambian Spring Hill School is a 38 and 52 week mixed-gender residential school for students aged 9-19 with a diagnosis of autism and related conditions.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and interested individual to work as part of the Occupational Therapy (OT) team.
This post will combine clinical and administrative support roles: You will help young people to socialise within the Hospital, providing a variety of activities, which cater for all tastes. Assist young people in accessing activities and identifying needs. Maintain full and accurate records of daily therapies / activities using the relevant documents
You will receive regular supervision and, as part of the Cambian OT service, be eligible for ongoing training.
It is essential that the successful candidates have a knowledge of a Healthcare environment, an interest in supporting and has worked with young people, preferably with previous experience of young people with special needs.
You will have a proven ability to develop and organise a range of activities for young people. Alongside this you will be a team player, who can use their own initiative whilst being a clear communicator.
Basic IT skills and the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a busy team are essential for all aspects of this post.
