Arm’s Media ISP group provides image processing technology that you will almost certainly be using today! Our Image Signal Processors are used in digital cameras, which include, surveillance cameras, drones or tablets. The SoCs at the heart of these devices use our IP in the form of software and hardware designs, which is the culmination of man-decades of development in the field of imaging.
We are seeking an experienced QA Software Engineer in Test to join our engineering team to be based in either Cambridge or Loughborough, in order to help us deliver best-in-class ISP software.
This is a newly created Tech Leader position which will make you responsible for helping to build a group of QA engineers. Some of the responsibilities include hiring, introducing a testing methodology and actually driving the overall software testing activity. If you have software testing experience and wish to become an integral member of the Media ISP group, we want to hear from you.
To be a successful applicant, you can expect to work on an exciting variety of cutting edge projects, targeting drivers at multiple platforms, controlling Arm’s ISP blocks which are found in SoCs and FPGA implementations; digital cameras, mobile platforms and drones.
What will I be accountable for?
You will work within the QA team to ensure the highest driver quality levels throughout.
Develop test plans and handle the tractability between the requirements vs test results
You'll own continuous integration and test automation infrastructures; aim for the tightest build/test feedback loop, by selecting and deploying the best tools and frameworks as well as contributing directly to end-to-end testing
We need you to be experienced with C and Python programming.
You possess an understanding of image processing algorithms with a background in camera software development or testing, including 3A algorithms.
Recent experience in product validation, tests automation and continuous integration frameworks.
Knowledge of embedded systems development/testing within a commercial development environment.
Solid knowledge of Java would be a great skill set for you to possess.
Development for Android on a HAL layer or an understanding of Android camera HALv3.
