An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, motivated individual to join and lead a new multidisciplinary team committed to the provision of high standards of care and to the development of the service.
Brett Ward is a 17 bedded male mental health adult acute inpatient ward in the City & Hackney Centre for Mental Health. Our service provides assessment and treatment for male individuals experiencing acute mental health difficulties. Our vision is to provide optimum care and treatment to aid recovery and promote wellbeing prior to returning back within the community environment.
We are looking for a candidate who has enthusiasm and passion for meeting the needs of acutely unwell adults, as well as being adaptable, enjoy variety, can work independently and also understand the relevance of team working. Intensive treatment is provided and recovery is promoted from the very beginning of admission. The ward has a weekly programme of activities which can include therapies such as arts, cooking, exercise classes and group meetings.
As the Ward Manager you will be at the fore front of managing, guiding and leading the team to provide high-quality mental health care. You will also support and develop our nursing and multi-disciplinary teams.
You will be leading a skilled and welcoming multi-disciplinary team, who work towards attainment of excellent care for our service users. You will also be supported by the Matron and hospital leadership team, working closely with colleagues sharing expertise, ideas and knowledge.
The unit is accessible through public transport; the Homerton Station on the Overground station is a short walk from the unit.
