An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, experienced and qualified Band 6 surgical first assistant, in ENT/OMF scrub, at University Hospital Southampton. Previous experience in this speciality is essential. This is a very busy service, offering routine elective operations, emergency surgery and extensive facial maxillary reconstruction surgery.
The role involves working very closely with the clinical team, and being involved in the whole patient pathway, pre-operatively, peri-operatively and post-operatively.
The successful candidate will be supported by a senior consultant, as mentor, the senior theatre sister, and the theatre matron for this speciality.
This is role is currently a part time role 2 days per week.
There are several higher educational establishments to which the trust is affiliated, thus providing a varied range of post graduate learning and development opportunities.

Getting to Work
