The School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Nottingham is a leading department for Physics research and teaching, also encompassing the Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre (SPMIC) and the Centre for Astronomy and Particle Theory (CAPT).
This is a key role within the School, providing the link between the School Academic Admissions staff, University Central Admissions team and potential undergraduate applicants. The role holder will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with applicants and internal stakeholders, organising School recruitment event days and for providing an efficient administration service to underpin the recruitment process.
Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills as the role interacts with a wide range people. Candidates must also have general office experience, whilst previous experience of organising similar events and functions would be highly desirable. The role holder will need to be able to work independently and with a high degree of accuracy and reliability.
The position is permanent, part-time fractional, for 30 hours per week for 39 weeks per year between the months of September and May each year.
