The organisation:
Healthcare Conferences UK are the leading provider of national CPD conferences and masterclasses for healthcare professionals and managers working in the NHS and private healthcare sector, producing and running over 250 events a year focusing on role and service development to ultimately improve patient care and experience.

The role:
We are looking to recruit a Conference Marketing Assistant to join our busy marketing team in promoting a selection of topical conferences. You will take ownership of your own event marketing campaigns to ensure maximum coverage and take up of delegate attendance. This will include:
identifying the target audience
selecting data
writing copy
formatting e-shots
researching advertising opportunities
listing events
promotion through social media
following up leads
designing conference brochures (full training given)
onsite conference attendance including running of streams (full training given)

The candidate:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is looking to work in the events industry and who will embrace the opportunity to learn the healthcare market and challenge to drive up delegate numbers.

Ideally the person we are looking for will:
Have previous direct marketing experience, including the ability to write copy for email and web communication
Have experience of using an emailing system
Have experience of data selection (an understanding of the NHS and healthcare market would be advantageous)
Have experience of marketing through social media
Be able to work independently; managing their own campaigns and taking responsibility for their own workload and priorities
Be confident, friendly and flexible for working with colleagues and also in a customer service environment on-site at conferences
Have good IT skills being able to use: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

The hours:
This is a full time home based position, regular hours will be Mon-Fri 9.00-5.30 with at least one day a week on-site at conferences in London 8.00-5.00, and two nights away on-site in Manchester or Birmingham at least twice a year.
