We are currently looking to recruit a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic and enthusiastic universal paediatric team working as part of the A Better Start Southend approach.
The post is suitable for an individual with experience of working with pre school children and their families and for a person with an additional interest in speech and language development. The post is full time (37.5 hours per week), for a fixed term contract of 18 months.
The right candidate will work alongside other members of the A Better Start SLT team to deliver a range of parent and child groups in childrens centre across the Southend area. In addition the successful candidate would take part in home visits, jointly with another member of the team for some families living within the A Better Start target population.
You will receive all necessary training and be working alongside other qualified and unqualified staff to deliver a service to pre-school at a universal level within the Southend A Better Start target wards.
We have excellent links with other professionals within the health service and education and robust clinical supervision and support networks in place.
