Government Affairs Assistant Jobs Vacancy at Viacom International Media Networks London Jobs Details:

To provide support the Vice President and Manager in the Government Affairs office based in London. The role combines administrative and office support with general research, information monitoring and event organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering calls and emails, organising meetings, maintaining diaries, arranging schedules and making travel arrangements
  • Tracking of budget and payments covering all activity, including expenses, events, association fees and subscriptions.
  • Creation and maintenance of contact lists, databases and issues files.
  • Information monitoring. Background research in support of particular issues, as required by the VP Government Affairs and Manager.
  • Assisting with arrangements for special events (e.g film screenings / receptions), including invitations and responses, and venue management.
Roel Specific skills/Attributes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.
  • Good information search/management skills.
  • Using your initiative.
  • Good computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • The ability to respond effectively to new situations and to work closely with co-workers.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple projects and work under pressure.
  • An interest in politics and media industry is desirable, but not essential.
  • Experience in general research, fact-finding, information management and/or event organisation would be an advantage.
