In this challenging role, based at Bircham Newton, you will assist in the provision timely accurate financial information and advice to Operational managers and senior management, at an operational and tactical level, to enable them to effectively manage their areas of business, raise financial awareness and ensure full compliance of financial procedures across the organisation.
Specific duties will depend upon your level of experience and qualification, but will include assisting in the planning & forecasting process, compiling, implementing and interpreting financial data to ensure that income and expenditure are correctly stated, along with forcast modelling and environmental scanning across business areas. You will ensure relevant management reports are produced in a timely and accurate manner and prepare monthly financial statements, whilst promoting financial awareness and ensuring compliance with standard financial procedures.
The role is aligned to a trainee programme designed provide support to the individual to help them develop in their role. This support includes financial support for CCAB qualification and dedicated development time.
You should be educated to at least ‘A’ level or equivalent standard, with either:
1. A degree in a relevant subject e.g Business Management/Accounting and Finance, or
2. AAT Level 3 qualification
You will be expected to work towards a CCAB qualification or equivalent. Previous experience of management and financial accounting is desirable but not essential.. Full training and support will be given to the successful candidate. Good communication, analytical and problem solving skills will be required as will a well organised and disciplined approach to work planning.
This post may include occasional travel elsewhere in the UK.
The post will be offered on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.
