An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified, motivated and enthusiastic person to join the ISTeC team and provide high quality technical support to the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching laboratories. Our newly built Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Centre houses state-of-the-art facilities for teaching and research in Biosciences, Chemistry, Physics, Computing, Robotics, Engineering and Sports science. You will work within the technical team; engaging closely with students and academic staff to provide support for our world class teaching in a wide range of techniques and practices. You will be maintaining equipment and laboratories, preparing solutions and apparatus for use, demonstrating safe use of equipment and good general laboratory practices.
A depth of knowledge in Science especially Biology, Chemistry and Physics and at least one years’ experience in a similar role would be a requirement for this position.
You will have a background in Science and be able to communicate well, be organized and adaptable, have an eye for detail and be committed to providing a positive customer experience.
