EQUIPMENT SUPPORT PERSONNEL, Logistic Support Unit, Deptford.
Band 3, £16,968 - £19,852 plus 20 per cent high cost area Supplement £3,468 minimum and an additional payment of 25% unsocial hours
The Logistics Department provides essential support to front line operations and the Equipment Support Personnel are key in providing drug packs and equipment to assist crews in the provision of high quality patient care.
The Logistics Support Unit operates 24/7 and as Equipment Support Personnel you will be working a full rotating shift pattern and will be required to complete daily deliveries and collections at ambulance stations and headquarters buildings within the London Ambulance Service and associate premises, while maintaining high levels of security and confidentiality of patient records and an effective internal mail system.
Your duties will also include the collection and exchange of drugs packs and faulty equipment, keeping detailed and accurate records of exchanges and movements, driving for long periods of time and any other duties necessary to ensure the efficient running of the Logistics Support Unit.
This role also includes the packing of Service drugs packs for use by Paramedics and Technicians which requires a high level of concentration and accuracy.
Candidates will need to hold a full UK driving licence which preferably includes C1 category, have no more than 3 penalty points and have experience of driving delivery vans.
Candidates selected for interviews will be required to attend assessments prior to the interview.
