Crematorium Officer Jobs Vacancy at Brighton Hove City Council Brighton and Hove Jobs Details:

The above salary range will be pro-rated for part-time hours - 16 per week (flexible basis)

An opportunity for a part-time Crematorium Officer, based at Woodvale Crematorium in Brighton.

Working within a busy team to provide dignified funeral and memorial services, you will be well presented and have a flexible approach to your work.

Main advert detail You will work closely with colleagues and on your own initiative to provide a first class service to our customers, including funeral directors and the bereaved. The tasks involved will be varied, and will include funeral services, cremations, scattering of ashes, removal of flowers, housekeeping to a high standard in all public areas; as well as responding to queries from visitors to the Crematorium.

You will have experience of working in a customer service environment, and have excellent communication skills. You will understand the sensitivities involved in providing services to the bereaved.

Previous experience of working in a crematorium is not essential as full training will be provided, including support in gaining relevant qualifications.

This vacancy is for 16 hours per week on a flexible basis, and you may be asked to work additional hours during busy periods.
