Job SummaryThe Royal Blind School, Edinburgh, is a leading provider of specialist education services for children and young people with Vision Impairment, including those with additional support and complex needs. As a Grant Aided Independent Special School, we deliver education and support for day and residential pupils aged 5 to 19 years.
An opportunity has arisen for an Administration Support Assistant to join the school to provide support to the Depute Head Teacher who has Vision Impairment. This varied role involves working closely with the Depute Head Teacher to complete administration tasks, including drafting emails, reports, and meeting notes. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with senior managers and dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
Candidates must have excellent team working and administration skills, and a friendly and flexible approach.
The position is part time for 14 hours per week for school term time only. There is some flexibility for when these hours can be worked, but the preferred working pattern would involve working across three days: Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. This can be discussed at interview.
