Administrative Officer Fixed Term Appointment Jobs Vacancy at Animal And Plant Health Agency Perth Jobs Details:

To provide effective administrative and secretariat support to the Grade 6 Head of Field Delivery Scotland within the Service Delivery Directorate. Pro-actively managing the diary, monitoring emails and collating papers for forthcoming meetings, co-ordinating the arrangements of meetings jointly organised by APHA and Scottish Government. In addition, to undertake and co-ordinate other ad-hoc stakeholder meetings and administrative duties appropriate to Scotland as required, presenting a professional image of APHA Operations.
The successful applicant will be based in Perth, you will be required to attend other locations within Scotland on occasions to provide support for specific meetings and maintain a secretariat presence within APHA Scotland and Scottish Government. (Edinburgh, Galashiels, Ayr, Inverness & Inverurie). Whilst attending other locations to support business needs allowances will be paid subject to eligibility criteria being met.
Main Duties are : -
To provide day to day email and diary management to the Grade 6 Head of Delivery
To provide full Secretariat support for Internal/External meetings, Senior Management meetings & events
To assist with the provision of effective communications & correspondence
To assist with the provision of accurate management information
To provide full support in an emergency situation

Person specification IT literate, particularly with the use of Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Sharepoint).
Ability to work with senior managers.
Previous experience of working in an office environment.
Previous experience of diary management preferable
Previous experience of drafting minutes, letters, briefings is desirable but not essential as adequate training will be provided

Qualifications 5 GSE's Grades A-C
