An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced BandÂ 3Â Clinical support workerÂ to join our Eileen Skellern 2 teamÂ at Maudsley Hospital.
Eileen Skellern 2 Ward is a 19 bedded Lambeth maleÂ acute inpatientÂ ward.Â (Acute Wards). These wards are for people aged 18-65, with acute psychiatric illnesses who requires hospital admission. Acute illnesses start quickly and have distressing symptoms. We provide care for people who live mainly in the London Borough of Lambeth; however, there are admissions from other Boroughs that are within the Trust.
We offer psychiatric assessment, care and treatment in hospital, which helps reduce the risk to self and others. The treatment is a multi-disciplinary approach with a broad range of interventions delivered by a team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers and other therapists.
We are actively looking to recruit highly competent Clinical Support Workers to join our male and female acute wards atÂ Maudsley Hospital.
The post holder will be supported under the national Apprenticeships Scheme to complete a 12 month development programme on the job; in line with the Apprenticeships Standards (2017). The Care Certificate forms part of the training and covers most of the required mandatory training within the Trust.
Post holders with a âCare Certificateâ issued by the former employer will be expected to submit their certificate and portfolio of evidence, to the Education and Development Department for verification and further guidance on how to proceed once commencing the Apprenticeship Programme
The programme will also involve off ward training to ensure clinical support workers have the time to develop and consolidate their learning.
