QEHB provides direct clinical services to nearly 900,000 patients every year, serving a regional, national and international population. We are a regional centre for cancer, trauma, renal dialysis, burns and plastics and have the largest solid organ transplantation programme in Europe. The Trust has the largest kidney programme in the UK and is a major specialist centre for burns and plastic surgery.
We provide a series of highly specialist cardiac, liver, oncology and neurosurgery services to patients from across the UK.
We are world-renowned for our trauma care and have developed pioneering surgical techniques in the management of ballistic and blast injuries, including bespoke surgical solutions for previously unseen injuries. As a result of its clinical expertise in treating trauma patients and military casualties, QEHB has been designated both a Level 1 Trauma Centre and host of the UK’s only £20m National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Surgical Reconstruction and Microbiology Research Centre (SRMRC).

The pharmacy department employs over 140 members of staff and provides a wide breadth of services. As one of the few trusts with a fully integrated electronic prescribing system we are able to deliver enhanced pharmaceutical care. We are looking for an exceptional individual to join the pharmacy team at UHB and help support the delivery of high quality care in the largest Trust in the West Midlands.
A unique opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Pharmacy Technician to provide administrative support to the Performance and Operations Manager and the Pharmacy Education team
The required candidate must have excellent organisational, time management and administrative skills together with excellent Technical skills
The post-holder will support with:
- Recruitment of staff
- In-house training programmes
- Monitoring departmental key performance indicators
The post is Fixed Term for 12 months due to funding
