Trainee Clinical Coding Analyst Jobs Vacancy at East Kent Hospitals University Nhs Foundation Trust Jobs Details:
We would be pleased to receive applications from applicants who are not currently working within a clinical coding environment but who would be interested in becoming a Trainee Clinical Coding Analyst. Applicants must express their interest and desire to join the Clinical Coding Department within their supporting information, describing how their current skills and experience aligns with the requirements of the job description.*
The desk based role requires focus, concentration and attention to detail. You will ultimately be responsible for creating data by analysing and interpreting clinical information.
In addition you will be required to work towards the National Clinical Coding Qualification examination to achieve Accredited Clinical Coder (ACC) status. Please note study towards the qualification is mandatory.
If you are a candidate with previous clinical coding experience but currently without ACC status, please note that you will also be required to work towards the National Clinical Coding Qualification and achieve a successful outcome.
The vacancies exist at Kent and Canterbury Hospital and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother Hospital. Please state in your application your preferred site.

Please note that the salary is restricted under Annexe U Agenda for Change for Trainee Clinical Coding Analysts. During year one, the salary is paid at 70% of top of Band 5, moving to 75% in year two until the qualification has been achieved. The Trust adheres to Agenda for Change rules.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for all customer facing roles within East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.
