Location: Field Based - South
Salary: up to £25,000 Dependent on skills and experience + car/car allowance, phone, laptop, benefits package, certified training, overtime, TOIL
As the Junior UC Microsoft Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical skills to support our customers both onsite and remotely. The role will involve supporting our Professional Services department and Consultants with project work. You will have an ambition to train and gain experience in the Microsoft UC product stack, you will also demonstrate a wide range of technical experience and troubleshooting skills in areas of Microsoft software resolving calls within strict SLAs. As a successful candidate you will need to possess confident communication skills as the role will involve dealing with a variety of customers for project and support activities.
Assist with professional services deployments
On-site and remote support of customer faults
Site visits to assess and swap non-functional equipment
1 st to 3 rd line technical support to assist the Service Desk and other engineers on technical calls and part numbers
Provide customer familiarisation and handover training
You will have experience supporting a Microsoft environment and have good knowledge of Windows server 2008, 2012 or 2016. The individual will have experience supporting a Microsoft desktop environment consisting of Windows 7/8/10 operating systems. Active Directory and Group Policy configuration experience is essential. Office 365 or Lync/Skype for Business administration skills are an advantage as is Exchange knowledge. A current MCSE or MCSA qualification or working towards one would be an advantage. Ambition to study and improve knowledge is necessary, as internal training and hands on experience will be provided.
