Contracts and Procurement is responsible for the sourcing, purchasing and commercial post contract management of all Wessex Route contracts for works, goods and services.
The function ensures that value for money is obtained from all suppliers to help deliver the broader business goals of our internal customers. The team is also key to ensuring that corporate governance is observed through our interactions with our supply chain, and takes a proactive role in briefing our internal customers to the same end.
As a Route commercial professional, assist with post contract management activity for the Wessex Route Buildings and Civils framework agreements. This is to ensure that the contracts are delivering optimal commercial and operational outputs for the Wessex Route, whilst ensuring that all post contract activity is undertaken in accordance with the rules of corporate governance.
About the role (External)
You will work closely with our Asset Management and Works Delivery teams to ensure that the framework agreements are being correctly administered to ensure that all contract deliverables are met.
You will assist with the full range of post contract management activities including instructing the supplier to commence with works, valuation of supplier applications for payment, agreement and instruction of contract variations, attendance at regular supplier performance meetings and the reporting on contractual spend to our finance function.
It’s important that you can exercise compliance with internal policies, procedures and governance and legal (including EU Directives) and regulatory requirements
In addition to this you will be able to identify cost reduction and efficiency opportunities and contribute to the achievement of efficiency targets for the Wessex Route.

· Previous experience commercially administering contracts.

Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 pro rata
