Lancaster Environment Centre (LEC) is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Environmental Plant Physiology to bridge our internationally recognized strengths in: Photosynthetic Biochemistry and in Plant Water Relations with a focus on Increasing Sustainable Crop Yield Potential. The ideal candidate would have experience spanning from plant molecular biology to photosynthetic and water use phenotyping of crops in different environments.
You will be expected to carry out internationally leading research in the area of Environmental Crop Physiology, in particular crop improvement, and contribute to our Biology and Environmental Science teaching at both undergraduate and graduate level. In particular, you should be able to contribute to teaching in global change biology, bioenergy, sustainable agriculture and environmental plant biology.
