Technical Supply Chain Lead
Would you like a highly varied role working within a fast paced environment? We currently have a vacancy for a Technical Supply Chain Lead at our site in Rochester.
As a Technical Supply Chain Lead, you will support the delivery of multiple complex manufacturing supply projects. You will act as a key interface with our Suppliers, key technical and programme stakeholders to understand capability, process issues and solve problems within our supply chain.
You will support reviews of new designs, ensuring that they are producible within manufacturing capabilities and ensure the accomplishment of key project goals through the efficient/effective utilization of manufacturing resources throughout the Supply Chain.
Your main responsibilities as a Technical Supply Chain Lead will involve:
Reviewing new designs whilst in development phase
Providing technical leadership within the Supply Chain
Be the bridge between Supply Chain and Engineering
Utilising lean and six sigma techniques to improve supplier performance
Leading root cause investigations
Developing, maintaining and enhancing manufacturing processes
Undertaking audits within the Supply Chain - Preparation/Execution/Reporting/Improvement feedback
Your skills and qualifications:
Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Manufacturing;
Demonstrate strong decision making skills
Adaptable and with an innovative approach to work
Demonstrate the ability to apply the foresight to predict potential areas of risk and mitigate
Ability to travel;
Experience in an Engineering discipline, with a Mechanical bias ideally
Experience in DFM (and New Product Introduction;
Experience in business improvement techniques;
Ability to identify a problem, obstacle, or opportunity and take action;
Experienced in root cause analysis;
Familiar with Quality Management System standards and auditing;
Familiar with product lifecycle phases and management;
Effective cross-functional leadership skills
