As a scientist with a physical materials background with an interest in new product development as part of a global team you will support senior scientists in conducting work activities ranging from sample preparation through to resolving problems or challenges to support the development of new products for a leading organisation.
Execution of prototype product characterisation at lab level.
Booking in and tracking of samples/prototype devices.
Materials ordering and inventory management of specific materials.
Sample “QA” testing, product performance testing.
Build own product knowledge and spread within the team.
Administrative support of individual product development projects.
Liaison with Customs team to facilitate smooth shipping in or out of samples.
Data processing, including QA data.
Ability to apply, from broad and thorough understanding and experience of methods /process, appropriate solutions or approaches to identify and resolve problems.
Develop new working procedures/ methods to increase productivity and quality on Product Development activities.
Participate in working with internal cross-functional teams on specific project activities.
Degree qualified Physics, Physical science, materials engineering.
Experience desirable in new product development in an R&D setting.
Physical materials testing or materials engineering background desirable
Self-starting, independent and tenacious in the pursuit of improvement
Ability to adapt fast and self-develop
Full Time. Permanent (35hr week)
