Adult Care wish to recruit a Day Opportunities Co-ordinator on a permanent basis to manage Daytime Opportunities provision for Adults with Learning/Physical Disabilities at Ancaster Day Centre.

About the role:

As a Day opportunities Co-ordinator you will contribute to enabling customers with Learning/Physical Disabilities, Long Term Conditions or Adult Frailty who access Day Opportunities to reach their full potential and increase their quality of life.

This role is part of a Co-ordinator Team that manages the day to day running of Ancaster Day Centre in Lincoln which provides Daytime Opportunities for adults with learning and/or physical disabilities.

About you:

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about supporting individuals, some of whom may exhibit behaviours that are a challenge, to achieve their full potential. You will have skills and experience in supporting individuals to make choices and to take managed risks. You will need to be imaginative and creative and capable of motivating a staff team to grow activities both within the centre and the local community.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and highly organised in order to take responsibility for the day to day running of the service, supervision and appraisal of staff and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

You must have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience and hold a relevant NVQ Level 3. A knowledge of disability issues, relevant legislation and related responsibilities e.g. health and safety is important. If you have good communication skills and an ability to form positive working relationships with colleagues, Service Users and families then we would love to hear from you.

As part of the role you will be required to travel effectively around the County in a timely manner.
