We are seeking to appoint a research assistant to contribute to a programme funded by Intellectual Ventures which aims to extend the use of serological markers for application to the prediction of malaria transmission intensity, spatial mapping of risk and assessment of impact on transmission-reduction interventions
The successful applicant will have a postgraduate qualification, demonstrable proficiency in conducting serological assays for malaria, and experience in the analysis of serological data. Prior experience conducting molecular assays and working with infectious diseases or in low malaria transmission or elimination settings would be a considerable advantage. This full-time post based in London is funded by Intellectual Ventures until 8 November 2019. The salary will be on the Academic Grade 5 scale in the range £33,567 - £38,533 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this, there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
