The Student Systems and Returns team forms part of the Student
Systems and Information Section within Academic Services.
We are seeking to recruit an Officer within the Student Systems and Returns team.
Reporting to the Manager of the team you will contribute to the sustainability and growth of the University through ensuring that data is correctly and consistently recorded on the Student Records System (SITS) in order to provide accurate and timely reporting to external agencies.
Additionally you will be responsible for the preparation and submission of student statistical returns to external bodies including Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), Initial Teacher Training (ITT) and Aggregate Overseas Return (AOR). You will contribute to the maintenance of the student record system and ensure that accurate course and module based information is held on SITS.
You will also contribute to the positive experience and successful outcomes for students by providing support and guidance to staff on the use of SITS in respect of the Student Journey.
You should have excellent IT and analytical skills with previous
experience of statutory returns, proficient in maintaining data and the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
Additionally you should be highly organised with a good eye for detail, have an understanding of the HE environment and a can do attitude.
