Project Engineer – Naval Would you like to be part of a fast moving and multi-functional role? We currently have a vacancy for a Project Engineer to join our Naval Project Delivery Team within our Weapon Systems business based at our site in Barrow-in-Furness. As a Project Engineer, you will work on high profile contracts, playing a key part managing stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure projects are executed successfully. You will be part of the team delivering design, qualification and integration of technical upgrades to improve and sustain availability of our portfolio of in-service systems worldwide. This role will provide you the opportunity to influence projects from start to finish and develop your Project Management skills within a dynamic business unit. Your main responsibilities as a Project Engineer – Naval will involve: Managing, updating and supplying Microsoft project schedule(s) for major design development and qualification programme(s) Maintaining internal action lists / logs Liaising with Engineers and Procurement to progress work-scopes Assistance with completion, submission and approval of deliverable reports to customer to deliver on KPI’s Interacting with both BAE and customer Workspace /SharePoint sites Representing Naval Project Management when required – internal meetings and travel to client facilities Your skills and qualifications as a Project Engineer - Naval: Experience in Project Managing tasks on performance based sustainment contracts Awareness of Project Management principles including Earned Value Management (EVM), Risk and Opportunity Management and Stakeholder Management Awareness of Project Life-cycle Management programme Experience of SAP ERP systems and Project Budgeting would be advantageous Educated to degree level or demonstrate equivalent professional experience Recognised Project Management training / qualification (APM – Association of Project Management) Experience of supporting Phase reviews would be beneficial What we're looking for in you: You will hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience of building strong customer relationships and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
