Reporting to the Head of Global Deskside & VIP support, with strong technical and communication skills, the Senior Deskside Support (DSS) Analyst is responsible for managing the “Global workplace” environment of AGCS, offering constant evolution to end-users.
The Senior DSS Analyst continuously improves and guarantees the smooth-running of the Workplace in a complex and international context.
The Analyst is involved in business projects and keeps a constant eye on new technologies in order to improve global users’ deskside, taking into account the specific needs of different regions. This is done by conducting analyses, providing technical solutions, researching and documenting IT processes, systems and technical designs.
These tasks will be carried out through regular operational work on DSS-related tasks, as well as by playing a key role in specific projects. The role involves a lot of coordination and communication with other stakeholders around the globe both in the IT Service team and business managers. The Deskside Support (DSS) Analyst will handle a range of responsibilities:
##Responsible for the design and development of Workplace solutions (imaging, patching, security processes) according to requirements, and implement significant process improvements
##Responsible for the entire Packaging life cycle, supervising a small team of externals and including patch processes, administration, reporting, metering and contact with providers
##Provide and maintain methods and processes used within Deskside functions. This includes the analysis of existing processes and methods, the improvement and introduction of more efficient processes and methods where appropriate and close cooperation with other IT functions
##Participate in the governance of Deskside providers
##Conduct ad-hoc as well as regular analysis, documentation, processes, data, etc. as required
##Investigate IT procedures, standards and/or guidelines (including AGCS as well as Group IT standards) and evaluate existing processes
##Research new technologies in the marketplace and proactively suggest improvements accordingly
##Deliver small projects under the supervision of the project manager and act as DSS representative on IT projects and in the respective regions
##Work with key project managers and IT leadership to document project scope, plan, timing, costs, risk and deliverables
##Coordinate IT project resources and key project dependencies to achieve project goals
##Define, develop and conduct the implementation of processes, procedures, metrics & measurement programs. Monitor and continuously improve processes by leveraging on industry-accepted models and standards
##Support teams within the IT Department with ad-hoc requests from management and stakeholders
##Ensure all required documentation is complete and in line with AGCS guidelines, including project work and documentation of DSS providers (flowcharts, process documentation, procedures, Knowledge Bases)
VIP Deskside Support:
##Participate in a small team of dedicated IT personnel to provide IT support for company VIPs (standard working hours) ##Degree in IT Engineering / Business Administration
##3 to 5 years’ experience in an IT department handling Windows deskside
##Ideally experience in an international context and in the financial services sector
##Experience in managing projects
##Technical competence, with specific expertise in Microsoft operating systems Windows 7 and 10, symantec antivirus and SCCM (packaging)
##Ability to conduct analyses and research
##Confidently express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally. Comfortable presenting and discussing complex ideas with non-technical stakeholders and managers
##Able to steer and negotiate with service providers
##Fluent English and at ease in an international and multi-cultural environment
