We have an extensive network of 18 manufacturing facilities in the UK, employing approximately 1,800 people.
We are a leading manufacturer of a diverse and trusted range of concrete and clay building products used extensively within the construction sector, with instantly recognisable brands such as Thermalite blocks, London Brick, Ecostock, Cradley, Formpave and Jetfloor, Bison Precast.
Our product range comprises of clay bricks, Thermalite blocks, aggregate blocks, Red Bank chimney, roofing and flue systems, precast concrete and flooring products and Formpave permeable paving.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in Newbury in the position of Yard Team Leader.
Including but not limited to:
Through direction and participation with the other members of the yard team to ensure:-
The correct and timely loading of all delivery vehicles.
To transport stock from the factory to the appropriate stacking areas.
To maintain stock rotation systems.
To assist with the receiving of raw materials and other stores deliveries.
To liaise with contractors to ensure the maintenance of the fleet.
To organise day to day running of the yard team.
To work closely with the shift colleagues, yard assistant team leader, Maintenance department, shift leaders, Safety Coordinator and production manager to ensure the sites targets and objectives are achieved.
The successful candidate will require:
Health and Safety of self and others.
Optimising delivery vehicle turn around in a safe and effective manner.
Operating yard mobile plant and equipment with effective communication.
Maintaining Yard and site housekeeping standards.
Participating in continuous improvement with regard to waste, Quality, plant breakdowns, testing and trials.
Assist with the identification and training needs in the yard team.
To receive, check the reference of, and log, receipt and delivery tickets so that an accurate record is kept of them, in accordance with team procedure
To carry out regular site environmental and safety inspections
Following up on fault reports (truck checks, pink tickets).
Liaise with truck maintenance contractors to ensure safe and efficient operation standards of the site plant and equipment.
Training & Qualification
RTITB counter balance license is required.
B2 license is desirable but not essential as full training will be given
