Based in London and reporting directly to the Head of Market Management, the Senior Events and Marketing Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing events and marketing activities of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty in the UK. The role includes all aspects of events management and support the Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty brand and sponsorship activities, both internally and externally. ##Lead and coordinate the execution of small and mid-size marketing events, large multi LoB events and international meetings by defining the purpose for each event, targeting the right clients and brokers to optimize the impact of the investment, in cooperation with various stakeholders.
##Management of third parties including transportation, entertainment, events and related activities.
##Establish and maintain ongoing vendor relationships to ensure quality support, competitiveness and responsiveness.
##Responsible for budgeting and processing of all invoices using the appropriate procurement tools.
##Ensure in conjunction with the compliance team all Allianz Group standards have been met.
##Track and monitor all events organized by Market Management in Salesforce, organize reports for audit purposes and provide relevant training to underwriting and Key account management teams.
##Liaise with OEs on local event and marketing activities and support where necessary in planning and executing these events. Provide guidance with regards to compliance procedures.
##Research and update local event overview incl. new opportunities regarding industry sector, sponsorships, trade associations and topic suggestions. Support larger global initiatives from a local perspective. ##At least 7 years’ professional experience in corporate events and hospitality including proven track record in insurance or financial sector
##Successful track record of driving events and marketing campaigns
##Demonstrable experience of delivering in a brand strategy
##Experience working in complex, global matrix organization
##Degree preferred, in e.g., BA Event Management, Certified Meeting Planner (CMP).
##Computer skills (esp. Power Point, design and photo software)
##Web Communications, publishing, usability and/or social media
##Knowledge of principles and techniques of marketing and communications
##Communication & Presentation: ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally. Ability to "sell" an improvised or prepared audience winning story
##Influencing skills: ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authority
##Analytical Skills: ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire
##Facilitation skills: manage to organize and run meetings, training and other group events to reach a common goal successfully
