Job Title: Operations Graduate- (Rooms) and (Food & Beverage)
Responsible to: F&B/C&T Manager / Housekeeping Manager / Reception Manager/Supervisors/Revenue Manager
Directly Supervises: N/A
Scope & Purpose of Job: The Operations Graduate will rotate across the Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Reception, Kitchen and Revenue departments within the Hotel as well as the Conference & Training areas at the Executive Centre and Training Centre as part of an 18-month programme.
The purpose of the programme will be to provide relevant industry experience to graduates who have completed a Hospitality degree at University and to utilise their theory based knowledge to the working environment. The experience will assist the graduate to develop and demonstrate the necessary skills, attributes and knowledge to provide an excellent first and last impression to all our guests. To provide a genuine, natural, friendly and hospitable service at all times, in line with Wyboston Lakes Values and Standards.
To ensure the efficient arrival and departure of guests and to be responsible for guest accounts and all related procedures. To answer and deal with all guest issues in a timely and professional manner and to ensure excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene in designated areas in accordance with standards laid down by the Company.
Programme Overview: Graduates will be provided with regular reviews throughout the programme to ensure that the expectations of the role are being met. You will also be allocated a workplace mentor who will offer guidance, support and arrange meetings with you and share their valuable insights and experience with you.
Additionally you will be provided with projects to complete throughout the programme which will allow you an opportunity to demonstrate your learning’s of the business/operations and to assist in your development within the role.
We would expect that at the end of the programme graduates would be ready for a position as an Assistant Manager in a larger department or a Head of Department position in a smaller department within the business.
