A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Security Supervisor for one of our busy Universities in Central London. You will need to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our clients and service users whilst managing a team. You will need to be able to make decisions by yourself as well as working within a large team.

INFORMATION

Position: Security Supervisor
Location: Central London
Pay Rate: £11.00 per hour
Hours: Average 56 hours per week
Shifts: Days & Nights – 21 day rolling roster
Job Requirements

SIA Door Supervisor Licence required
Security Supervisor Experience is required - at least 2 years
Excellent communication both written & verbal & customer service
Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site
Able to work in a team as well as on your own – Decision making, leadership skills, managing performance & professionalism
Be calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations in a calm and professional manner
The ability to be pro-active and think on your feet use initiative
To have a smart appearance befitting the company
Be confident you are able to undertake 100% of all specific duties
Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting information requested
Job Role & Responsibilities

Support the Site Manager and Team Leader in all areas of responsibility and maintain a close working relationship at all times.
Deputies’ in the absence of the Site Manager/Team Leader, assuming the responsibility of the entire role in line with the job description.
Effectively manage all site operations during the shift and ensure the team is working to site policies and procedures and the Site Manager/Team Leader is fully briefed and updated.
Ensure the site based working rosters are maintained during the shift.
Complete regular checks on all Security personnel and working positions during the shift. Monitor that they are effectively working in line with the contract requirements.
Ensure that patrols are completed during each shift as detailed in the site Assignment Instructions. Report and record any missed patrols/faulty equipment to the Site Manager.
Ensure radio equipment is issued and used effectively during the shift. Report any faulty equipment to the Site Security Manager/Team Leader.
Ensure all staff on duty maintain a detailed working knowledge of the Assignment Instructions, building and the Security systems their supervision.
Take responsibility to ensure that the out of hours Emergency Communications Policy is followed in relation to all incidents that occur on site.
Assist the Site Manager to ensure manning requirements are met
Undertake any reasonable requests made by the client or managers
Assist the Site Manager to ensure that all contractual requirements are fulfilled on a daily basis and maintain up to date records of it.
Assist the Site Manager in the general supervision of the Security Team.
Provide relief/break cover for Security Officers, if required.
Ensure the completion of all log books and registers and maintain in accordance with the Company and client requirements.
Ensure that all Security personnel under your supervision are fully acquainted with the Assignment Instructions, Emergency Procedures and any other instructions issued by the client.
Ensure that all appropriate documentation, keys and equipment are properly accounted for.
Set high personal standards for others to follow.
Maintain a good level of morale and discipline within the team, taking into consideration their welfare.
Maintain a detailed working knowledge of the building and the security systems under their supervision.
Ensure all Officers under their supervision are working in line with site policies and procedures.
Ensure that all staff under their supervision are regularly briefed.
Liaise with the Site Manager on all matters relating to the security of the premises, reporting on matters of discipline and welfare.
Maintain good client relations through regular personal contact.
Ensure that adequate handover procedures take place at shift change and that all keys, equipment and documentation are properly accounted for. This should be recorded in a separate log. Any discrepancies, faults or malfunctions should be reported to the Site Manager immediately.
Ensure routine calls to the CIS Control Centre at the authorised time are made by Control.
Play a principal role in Fire Procedures during occupied and unoccupied hours.
Ensure that any telephone calls placed during nights or weekend shifts to CIS Control, listed contractors, Mobile Managers or Site Supervisors, are logged.
Ensure no unauthorised phone calls are made.
