Finance Assistant – Worcester

Position
Summary

We have a great opportunity at
Jelf for a Finance Assistant to join our business and support the continued
growth of our Fiduciary Operations division. Based in Worcester, with
occasional travel to our offices based in Chipping Sodbury and Milton Keynes,
the support this position provides will be vital in maintaining and developing
the track record of success Jelf has in ensuring that insurer statement
reconciliations are completed accurately and to agreed deadlines.

Role Responsibilities

To
reconcile insurer statements and raise payments to insurers to agreed
deadlines.

To
investigate unallocated items on client/insurer accounts by raising
queries with the relevant parties.

To
support colleagues with the investigation and settlement of outstanding
debtor items.

To
investigate and clear any credit balances on client/insurer accounts.

To
liaise with colleagues, insurers and other third parties as part of
reconciliation and debtor control procedures.

To
work on ad-hoc tasks within the team which could include supporting the
production of Management Information (MI), assist with statutory and
Client Money audits etc.

To
assist with initiatives to improve the accuracy of reconciliations and
reporting.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

Experience of credit control and/or
general insurance and/or detailed reconciliation work.

Excellent numerical skills - the role
requires a real aptitude for figures.

Good academic background supported by good
grades at A-Level and/or GCSE in subjects that include Maths and English.

Excellent attention to detail and
organisation skills in completing assigned tasks.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.

Strong communication skills both written and
verbal.
