We are currently recruiting for Waiting List Co-ordinators to join us at Musgrove Park, Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role
As a Waiting List Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for the co-ordination and organisation of a comprehensive patient centred Admission Service, ensuring continuity in achieving excellence in patient care within local and national time frames. You will be expected to make informed decisions which will lead to good booking practice, and the provision of an excellent support mechanism for both patients and clinical teams.
We are looking for someone who has strong decision making skills and experience of customer care, able to deliver great role model behaviours, with outstanding communication and listening skills.

This role is working 37.5 hours per week over 5 days; however we can, when service provision allows, offer the option of 37.5 hours per week over 4 days and this can be discussed during interview.
You will require impeccable interpersonal skills, to communicate effectively to colleagues of all levels of seniority, and be able to build superb working relationships, to ensure common goals can be achieved.

The Trust has over 630 beds, around 4,000 staff, and an annual budget of £246.7 million. There are 16 operating theatres (5 general, 3 orthopaedic, 3 head and neck, 4 day surgery, 1 obstetric).
As part of the Admissions Team you will be booking patients for these theatres, and as a collective team up to 43,000 patients are booked every year.
We have a large dedicated open plan office with desks for each Waiting List Co-ordinator. Our Department is supported by 3 excellent, friendly Team Leaders and a Department Manager.
We have high standard IT equipment and very approachable, close knit senior teams.
