About the role
As volunteering Officer you will cover the area of North Yorkshire reporting to the Operations Manager. You will be responsible for all aspects of volunteering in the local area, including the coordination, recruitment, induction, support and training of volunteers, adhering to the Society’s volunteering policies. Providing support and monitoring the impact of volunteering on Society activities locally.
You will be passionate about volunteering, understanding that volunteers are the lifeblood of our organisation. You will understand and be able to demonstrate the importance of supporting volunteers ensuring that they get the most out of their volunteering experience and remain engaged with the organisation.
You will possess NVQ level 2 or equivalent or demonstrable skills and experience. You will have good communication and time management skills, basic IT skills including MS Office. You will have experience of managing and motivating volunteers and leading a team. An understanding of the needs of people affected by dementia and experience of working with statutory and voluntary agencies is desirable
