About the role
Are you an architect willing to jump in and help us plan for the future of Arm? Our dynamic, growing business needs talented and passionate IT professionals to make our vision of Arm's future possible. You'll join the Architecture, Design and Planning team and support the growth and evolution our Enterprise Architecture practice. Working into the Director of Partnering and Planning, you will be an enthusiastic and passionate individual with relevant architecture experience across a variety of disciplines. What will you be doing?
Our Enterprise Architects work closely with IT Business Partners and senior leaders across Arm to align technology solutions with business strategies, as well as contribute to and promote the continued improvement of the discipline of Enterprise Architecture at Arm.
You will lead identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to derive the enterprise architecture (business, application information, technology). You will also act as a trusted interface within the business community, supporting roadmap planning and technology evaluations, as well as evaluating new hardware and software standards and design of standard configurations. We want your thought leadership to analyse technology, industry and market trends and evaluate their potential impact on Arm IT. You will also review the current IT portfolio environment to detect critical deficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement.
Arm also looks for those willing to develop and support colleagues, and as an Enterprise Architect you will help coach, support and mentor Solution Architects to develop their skills, as well as ensure compliance with our architectural standards
What skills, experience and qualifications do you need?
Enterprise Architects are Arm have a demonstrable record in technology, network and application architecture planning, design and implementation, as well as large scale projects and systems integration work that shows collaboration with a diverse, multi-discipline technical staff. You'll have evidence of taking an influential role in the organisation and working with teams to deliver valued business change through technology.
In addition, you will also be able to demonstrate:
You are neutral toward technology, vendor and product choices, and more interested in results than in personal preference
You are unflappable in the face of opposition to architectural ideals, but maintain a positive and constructive approach
You have experience developing and working in partnership with external consultancies and strategic technology partners
You can demonstrate effectiveness at driving short-term actions that are consistent with long-term goals
You have a deep understanding of current industry-standard architecture, platforms and solutions that support global businesses, as well as experience applying current and emerging technology trends and developments to business challenges
You will have superb social skills, be excellent at influencing and motivating individuals and teams, and be able to communicate high level concepts to senior leaders whilst also being able to delve into detail of complex changes as needed
You are self-motivated, with a "can do" attitude and an ability to make progress when faced with ambiguity
Experience in working across cultures, in different countries
Bachelor’s or master’s degree
