Band Research Finance Coordinator Jobs Vacancy at Imperial College Healthcare Nhs Trust London Jobs Details:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and smart-working “Research Finance Coordinator”to provide support to our busy Joint Research Office (JRO) costing and contracts team in setting up and managing clinical research studies. The JRO is responsible for managing a large, internationally-recognised portfolio of research activity. The focus is on translational and clinical research - taking advances in basic medical research out of the laboratory and into the clinical setting to directly benefit patient care. You will provide budget costing advice to Divisional Research Management teams, research grant applicants, and investigators; preparing and managing a wide range of budgets connected to research; support the budget negotiation process; including but not limited to commercial research and non-commercial (NHS and University Led) research contracts.

The team supports the set-up of a wide portfolio of research studies, both commercial and non-commercial, on behalf of the Trust. You will work closely with other members of the JRO, clinical researchers and multidisciplinary teams, and in collaboration with other research partners, both industry and academic to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved. You will review, maintain and deliver research finance administrative functions that enhance the collection and recording of research activity, in line with service performance management. To maintain accurate financial records and perform financial transactions which adhere to.

The post-holder will work with minimum supervision using own initiative to plan, manage and prioritise work demands, and efficiently communicate verbally and in writing, with a wide range of internal and external colleagues, exercising tact and diplomacy. The post holder will ensure confidential and sensitive information is kept secure, and that all work will be carried out in accordance with the Trust's policies and procedures. You will have excellent organisational skills with a proven understanding of research management and governance.
