Fleet Maintenance ControllerLocations: Witney / Kidlington / Eynsham / Wootton I am currently working with a sought after company who are now looking to expand their team with the addition of a Fleet Maintenance Controller into the busy operations team.The company are a well-established and growing fleet company who contract hire over 3000 units and trailers into some major players in the industry. Job Purpose: To ensure legal compliance in line with the department of transport code of practice standards and company policy.To monitor the quality of work carried out by all repairers to ensure these are carried out to the agreed company standards.To monitor maintenance costs and ensure they are in line with agreed company budgets.Where costs exceed budgets investigate reasons and offer solutions.To assist the business and offer innovative and added value solutions for all technical and maintenance related issues. To support the Operations Manager on a day to day basis. Job Duties: Manage vehicle, trailer and ancillary equipment maintenance regimes provided by external contractors, to DVSA, HSE and manufacturers' recommendations and codes of practice.
These to be in line with the company maintenance policies to protect our customers 'O' licence.Monitor the quality, timeliness and cost of all work completed by external contractors; ensuring that necessary standards, service levels and legislative compliance are maintained.Endeavour at all times to secure the most cost effective solutions. Including, maximising warranty benefits, FPM arrangements and/or good will/loss of use processes.Manage off hire recharge process to completionAdvise and assist our customers and BD management with projects, relevant performance improvements, MIS and reports in order to maximise the service offering of our company.To identify costs that are chargeable to the customer and other third parties.Working with the accounts team ensure chargeable invoices are raised in a timely manner and ensure payments are received in line with the Axis payment termsWork with the sales team to ensure all equipment is available to hire when requiredEnsure the vendor agreement policy is fully complied withWIP / purchase order numbers work in progress to be kept to no older than 4 weeksReview and progress breakdowns in line with company policy Requirements: HGV Technician background an advantageExperience in managing maintenance on a fleet of HGV'sWell organisedAble to think outside the boxKeen eye for detailNegotiation skills Hours: Monday to Friday 0830-1730. No weekends or evenings required. Package: On offer is a competitive basic salary between mid £20,000 to early £30,000 per year depending on your experience plus private healthcare, pension, free onsite parking and a whole host of other benefits.
