Thi spost will be instrumental in developing Enfield's Supported Internship Programme, which is a Government initiative designed to help more people with a disability or learning difficulty to move from education and training into employment.
The post holder will report directly to the Independence, Business and Partnerships Manager and ensure that we maximise employment opportunities for young people aged 16-24 with Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities in Enfield.
The post holder will identify and secure employers, which match the skills,experience and aspirations of the Interns. They will develop and broker effective working relationships between Interns and employers in order for them to secure paid employment at the end of the programme.
Duties will include carrying out employer recruitment for a caseload of interns, health & safety vetting, Intern recruitment, monitoring progression and ensuring access to high quality advice and guidance for Interns and employers around employment related matters.
