Consultant Medical Microbiologist Infectious Diseases For The Global Burden Disease Amr Project Jobs Vacancy at University Oxford Oxford Jobs Details:
We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Consultant Clinical Microbiologist or Infectious Diseases Specialist to provide scientific leadership for a project on antimicrobial drug resistance (AMR) in bacterial pathogens globally. The project aims to synthesise drug resistance data worldwide and lead the incorporation of the impact of AMR into the disease estimates of the Global Burden of Disease Study.
This position is suitable for a candidate with a background in either microbiology or infectious diseases with a formal microbiology qualification. You will have expertise in bacterial infections and AMR and have a body of published research. You will have experience of building collaborative research projects and working in networks or consortia. You will have experience of managing a research team and teaching and supervising students.
This post is a full-time position. It is a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2021.
