A 37.5 year round hour per week Band 2 Immunisation Assistant is needed for our team to help with childhood immunisations. Based at the Westhampnett Centre Chichester.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team. You will be providing support to the Immunisation Service working across West Sussex and Brighton & Hove. This will include providing clerical and clinical support in schools, clinics and patient’s homes.
It is an exciting role as our programmes are changing to incorporate the new flu vaccinations that are currently being offered to school children from reception age to year 4. The successful candidate will assist the nurses with all aspects of immunisation sessions. This will involve helping children to administer the nasal flu vaccination and keeping them calm, through to the administration. It will also involve organising the clinics and helping them run to time.
The ability to communicate well and remain calm at busy immunisation sessions is essential and at the same time providing re-assurance to anxious children.
Applicants will need to demonstrate their familiarity with Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience of data-inputting is preferable but training will be given.
You will need to be a car driver with a clean driving license as we run clinics in schools, patients homes and children centres across the SCT area.
Applicants will need to demonstrate a willingness to work flexibly and be willing to travel across the whole SCFT area.
