Senior Service Improvement Manger Scheduled Care (Including Maternity services) Band SA
An exciting opportunity has arisen to Join NHS Salford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).The CCG has been rated as 'outstanding' for the second year running achieving the top rating against the CCG Assurance Framework for 2015/16 and 2016/17. This makes Salford one of only six CCGs in the north of England to receive the highest national rating for performance, and one of 21 CCGs nationally.
Salford Royal was given the gold standard for NHS care in March 2015 when it was rated 'outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission. With the CCG's rating, it makes Salford one of only two localities in the country to have a CQC-rate outstanding acute trust and an outstanding CCG.
As the Senior Service Improvement Manager you would be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Scheduled Care elements (Including Maternity services) of the CCG's strategic plan. You will lead and manage staff who, working alongside CCG clinical leads, will deliver a variety of major and minor service improvements across the local health economy, North West Sector and GM.
You will develop and maintain strong relationships with external agencies for example local providers (e.g. hospital, primary care, community, independent sector and third sector providers), other commissioners (e.g. local authority, NHS England and other CCGs) and other agencies (e.g. Commissioning Support Unit.)
This is a senior role within the CCG requiring a combination of subject matter expertise relevant to the specific work programmes and technical (commissioning, programme management and service improvement) skills to ensure delivery of elements of the CCGs strategic plan.
The Senior Service Improvement Manager will be a committed and enthusiastic individual who will be responsible for leading aspects of the overall programme. In this role you will progress needs assessments, business cases, service reviews, innovation schemes and other projects and initiatives to improve care and outcomes for adults in Salford. You will work with various partners and clinical leads.
This is a permanent role.
